Massage Modalities Offered
Relaxation: A gentle, soothing form of massage therapy designed primarily to help you unwind, reduce stress, and promote a sense of overall well-being. Unlike therapeutic or deep tissue massage, the goal isn’t to target specific muscle issues but to calm the nervous system and relax the body. A full body massage ideal for anyone seeking a break from daily stress or looking to support overall wellness in a calm, nurturing way.
Sports: While standard sports massage focuses primarily on muscles and movement, this approach goes deeper—addressing the entire person. By combining evidence-based manual therapy with whole-body wellness strategies, ISM supports long-term performance, recovery, and resilience. It not only relieves muscular tension but also works to restore alignment, enhance mind-body connection, and build sustainable strength. This modality is ideal for athletes and active individuals engaged in regular physical activity or fitness training who want to train smarter, recover faster, optimize physical performance, and remain deeply attuned to their bodies to achieve mental-physical balance. This blends various massage techniques based on the athlete’s sport, training schedule, and physical condition.
Therapeutic: Massage therapy focused on treating specific physical conditions, injuries, or areas of chronic tension and pain. Unlike a general relaxation massage, therapeutic massage is more targeted and often involves techniques intended to improve mobility, reduce pain, and support healing in muscles, tendons, and soft tissues. Techniques may include deep tissue massage, myofascial release, trigger point therapy, and stretching.
Deep Tissue: A therapeutic massage technique that focuses on realigning deeper layers of muscles and connective tissue. It’s especially helpful for relieving chronic muscle tension, breaking up scar tissue, and addressing issues such as stiffness, knots, or musculoskeletal pain. May include stripping (deep pressure along the length of the muscle fibers) and friction (pressure across muscle grain to release adhesions).
ASMR: Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response (ASMR) uses sensory trigger techniques such as soft sounds, touch, and focused attention to provoke a relaxing sensation. When combined with relaxation massage, you receive the benefits of gentle bodywork with the calming sensations of soft sound, intentional touch, and mindfulness. This unique session is designed to quiet your thoughts, release deep tension, and awaken a sense of inner peace. The goal is to provoke a calming sensation often experienced as tingles or waves of relaxation triggered by touch and soft sound. It provides a full-body experience of nervous system reset, emotional relief, and deep calm.
